I had a pretty quiet Easter here. I went for brunch at one of the other flats. We ate so much! Had loads of chocolate, played cards and ate some more! Met some more super cool people! : )
The rest of the day was pretty quiet - nothing too exciting. Got an Easter parcel from home with lots of goodies in it! :D

There's A Rat In The Rubbish Room!
So, when I first moved in I thought I saw some rustling in the rubbish room, so I quickly dumped my stuff in the nearest bin and got out of there as quickly as possible! Then loads of other people said they saw the rat!!! Ewww! So now every time I go to the rubbish room I hold the door open with my foot, try to switch the light on and throw the rubbish into the bin from the doorway and then run away like this...
TV Obsession: My Kitchen Rules
This show - IS THE BEST SHOW ON TV. EVER.
I saw the advertisement for it when I was in Australia and when it started on TV in New Zealand I got so hooked. It's been on for a month or so every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - seriously nothing gets done on those evenings! Loads of people come around and we all watch it together!
So far contestants from different states in Australia go to each other's houses, creating their own restaurants and get judged but the two professional chef judges (Pete and Manu) and the other contestants. But its so amazing - the people are so crazy - its like a soap opera! There's so much drama, bitch-iness - its hilarious!
There were the "Spice Girls" from NSW who didn't like ANYTHING - not even red peppers... The over dramatic guy ballet dancer who keeps saying "helloooooo?", a man who wants to open a sauasage shop specialising in saucages and so so so much more. (I really hate the stupid cupcake people - they're right bitches, so fake trying to be sweet 1950s housewives- PL-EAAAAAAAASE!)
So far my favourites are Mick and Matt form Tasmania - they're so funny and the nicest people ever! I really hope that they win! Some of the people are so stupid and keep saying "I was so inspirated. Its inspirating"... And then Manu keeps going on and on and on about sauce - he's obsessed!
It's such a good show- my whole flat gets so excited to watch it! Its over for another week... CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK!

St Patrick's Day In New Zealand
All through the week I had seen the usual St Patrick's Day advertising around down and at the Irish bars for what looked like a drunk fest of Guinness and whiskey! :P one of the bars even had a massive inflatable leprechaun on its roof- it was really funny! :P
I bought some decorations and cut out some little shamrocks from some green paper I had and put them up in the kitchen. I went to mass and was immediately stopped by an old parish priest (I was wearing a green top) and started talking away to me and then wondered where I grew up because I didn't have a an Irish accent ...(seriously there's more than one Irish accent). There wasn't a mention of St Patrick - althought to be fair there could've been because the mass was half in Latin and had Gregorian chanting the whole way through.... great.
Leaving I went to the supermarket. There was some guy with a big leprechaun hat standing there looking so hungover with 2 cases of beer in the queue. There seemed to be so many Irish people there and to be honest some if them were doing my head in. I came to New Zealand to escape people from home! I then went to the Sunday veggie market and got lots of groceries for dinner. Being St Patrick's day it just had to rain as I was walking home -(Even thought it hasn't rained in over a month in Wellington!)
My lovely new flatmates made green pancakes - so yummy! :D I spent most of the afternoon making dinner. I made, potato bread (surprised it came out yummy!), chocolate buns with green icing, apple pie, champ and some good old stew. We then had a lovely flat family dinner- it was great! My flatmates even got green balloons - it was super nice! :D
Had a great day,
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
