Volcano Eruption - Mount Tongariro

Mount Tongariro

Well last night another volcano in the North Island erupted - it wasn't a major eruption but this morning I had a surprise in the Capital! I opened  my window this morning and I could smell the sulphur from it - it was so strong and it REALLY stank! But I guess that it was kind of cool - I have witnessed (ish) an eruption! Even though the volcano is over a hundred miles away, the smell of sulphur was so strong down here in the capital!
Really cool - especially as a Earth Science and Geography student!
Thanks Mount Tongariro! :)
